ASHFORD-HOUSTON COUNTY: On Monday Friends of Dupree School gathered at the Historic Dupree School for a special presentation from Mike Schmitz.
There is a lot going on at Historic Dupree School. An addition will be added to the site with ADA compliant restrooms. This addition will not in any way change from the Historic School Building. In March there is a Blue Grass Music Festival which will be held.
On Monday the owner of Mike Schmitz Automotive Group, Former two term Dothan Mayor, Mike Schmitz, presented the Historic Dupree School with a check for $ 25,000.00 to help with the project. Mike Schmitz has been impressed with the Historic Dupree School and the hard work which has been done to preserve history.
