COWARTS – HOUSTON COUNTY: 09:06 AM. Houston County 911, either by the Houston County Sheriff Deputy or a 911 caller, responded multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies to a wreck with injuries.
The accident was at Highway 84 East and Sanitary Dairy Road.
The wreck involved a Houston County Sheriff Patrol unit and a truck, There was entrapment in the wreck.
Cowarts Volunteer Fire Department, multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies, ALEA – Troopers responded. The scene was the jurisdiction of Ashford Rescue.
According to sources both the deputy and person in the vehicle sustained injuries, possible broken leg.
ALEA – Troopers are in charge of the accident investigation.
UNCONFIRMED but the truck pulled into the path of the Deputy Sheriff.
