ALABAMA: Alabama families can again apply to get up to $7,000 toward private school or home school expenses for the 2026-27 school year.
The CHOOSE Act, passed in 2024, created a new school choice program and education savings accounts for some K-12 students.
In 2025, about 24,000 students were approved for $100 million in state funding. Most students already attended a private school, AL.com found.
Families can renew or start an application on the state’s website starting Dec. 15.
