HOUSTON COUNTY: 10:04 PM. A chase came off Rocky Creek Road and was east bound on Highway 84. The chase traveled out Highway 84 reaching speeds of 90 to 100 miles per hour.
After phone calls RSN began listening. Know multiple Houston County Sheriff units involved in the chase. The vehicle reached the Alabama – Georgia line and turned around traveling back west on Highway 84. Suspect crossed into the east bound lane, traveling west.
A Houston County Sheriff Deputy was able to deploy spikes and got his tires. At Highway 84 and County 81, after one of the law enforcement officers was able to pit the vehicle to a final stop. The vehicle was smoking and smoke coming from under the vehicle. One officer was forced to deploy taser weapon on suspect.
At this time it is unknown what agencies were involved or why the officer’s were in pursuit.
The suspect vehicle is a white Toyota Camry.
