HOUSTON COUNTY: In a highly unusual move, Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza has endorsed two local candidates seeking election.
Sheriff Donald Valenza has made an endorsement of Kendall Glover for Houston County Coroner. Glover is dedicated, honest man who will serve with integrity, dedication, respect for the deceased and families that will have the unfortuante task of death. Law Enforcement works hand in hand wuth the Coroner on deaths that occur across the county.
Sheriff Donald Valenza has made an endorsement of Ashley Enfinger for Houston County Commissioner – District 3. For the past year Enfinger has attended every Houston County Commission Administrative Meeting and Regular Meeting of the County Commission. He has worked to learn county government and how it operates. Enfinger has joined the Houston County Sheriff Reserves to learn what law enforcement officers deal with. Sheriff Valenza believes that Ashley Enfinger has the character to serve the people of Houston County and be a wise steward of the taxpayer money.
Donald Valenza began with the Houston County Sheriff Department since 1977. He has risen through the ranks until becoing Sheriff. He has never publically endorsed anyone for elected office. But Sheriff Valenza feels these two deserve his endorsement.
