DOTHAN – HOUSTON COUNTY: 8:13 PM SUNDAY Dothan 911 dispatched a “person down” call in the 900 block of North Bell Street in Dothan on Sunday night. The reports to Dothan 911 were a unknown male on the ground, unknown if breathing.
Dothan Police, Dothan Fire and Piulcher Ambulance responded to the scene. The male subject was deceased.
Houston County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. There was no evidene of foul play. The body has been transported to Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for examination.

9:16 PM SUNDAY EVENING Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance while Houston County 911 dispatched Houston County Sheriff Deputies to the Houston County Jail, 901 East Main Street on Sunday evening. At time of dispatch reports were patient unresponsive but breathing. The patient was a inmate at the Houston County Jail.
On arrival of Dothan Fire it was determined the inmate was deceased. The Houston County Coroner’s Office responded to the jail. In fact, two death calls at the same time.
Houston County Sheriff Department Criminal Investigation Division Captain and Sheriff Investigator along with Major Bill Rafferty responded to the jail. There are nmo signs of foul play and the inmate is reported to have medical history.
The body has been transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for examination.
