SLOCOMB:
🚨 Training Classroom Now Complete & In Service 🚨
Slocomb Fire-Rescue is proud to announce that our newly renovated training classroom is officially complete and fully operational. This project included the finishing of drywall, fresh paint, new flooring, installation of a drop ceiling, upgraded lighting, insulation, air conditioning, and the addition of new tables, chairs, a podium, computer systems, televisions, speakers, cameras, and major IT enhancements.
This upgraded training space will greatly improve our ability to provide high-quality, hands-on education and continuing training for our firefighters and EMS personnel. It also allows us to host regional classes, certifications, and joint training opportunities with neighboring departments—strengthening emergency response capabilities across our entire area. By investing in training, we are directly investing in the safety and well-being of the citizens we proudly serve.
This project was made possible through a generous $30,000 grant from Wiregrass RC&D We are incredibly grateful for their support and commitment to improving emergency services in our community.
Thank you to everyone who played a role in bringing this project to life. We look forward to using this space to better serve Slocomb and the surrounding communities for years to come.
