HOUSTON COUNTY:     NICK SABAN ON CALLING PEOPLE OUT

QUOTE OF NICK SABAN:

” And if you think that not confronting people who don’t do the right things is helping your organization you’re absolutely wrong. You lose respect of the person who knows they’re not doing it right, and you’re not confronting them, and you lose the respect of all the people who see it happen and you don’t say anything about it. And this is one of the biggest things I have to deal with – with the coaching staff. They wanna be friends with the players, they want to be buddies, but if you don’t make them do right, and you don’t make them do the right things on and off the field, doesn’t matter, you’re gonna lose their respect”.

Some think I am always on Houston County Commission Chairman Brandon Shoupe and the current Houston County Commissioners. In following the Chairman and members of the current commission, they have placed this county $ 13,474,834.00 UPSIDE DOWN. Totally and 100%, on the shoulders of Chairman Brandon Shoupe, D4 James Ivey, D3 Ricky Herring, D2 Tracy Adams and D1 Curtis Harvey.

In the 2022 campaign where Brandon Shope ran for Chairman, D2 Tracy Adams ran for Commissioner, D3 Ricky Herring ran for a second term for Commissioner and D4 James Ivey ran for commissioner, they were elected to be wise stewards of the tax payer dollars. And placing Houston County $ 13,474,834.00 upside down is far from a wise steward.

BUDGET SUMMARY BY HOUSTON COUNTY COMMISSION

:

In 2022, Chairman Brandon Shoupe wrote that Houston Couty was in a position of financial strength. (1) Shoupe said inmates back on litter patrol. Have you seen any inmates on litter patrol? NO, because they have deen none. (2) Shoupe and Herring, as Commissioners voted to sell the Houston County Farm Center. There was a outcry because no one knew it was for sale. And RSN found the City of Dothan owned part of the Farm Center which placed a kink in the plan. The sale was stopped. But there was never a outcry to spend $ 6.2 million dollars in renovation of the Houston County Farm Center. (3) Afternoon Commission Meetings – not been one yet!!!

Since the May election, Chariman Brandon Shoupe has not been a full time Houston County Commission Chairman. And he has not placed any of his six figure salary to help in any area where budgets have been cut. But Shoupe has wasted money and placed this county in a huge upside down position, with the help of mainly three commissioners – Herring, Ivey and Adams.

NOVEMBER 3, 2026 ELECTION

Because the amount of Houston County being upside down was not disclosed unitl after the election in May, Chris Love, who came within 27 votes of being D2 Houston County Commissioner, Chris Love is very upset that the registered voters – the employers, were deceived. So he voluntarily resigned from the Republican Party and is seeking a write in campaign for District 2 Houston County Commissioner.

To vote for Chris Love, you must (1) Color in the bubble under District 2 where there is no name, and write in CHRIS LOVE in order for him to get elected.

If you do not make a change in District 2, you will be paying an additional 1 cent sales tax to bail out the mismanagement of Tracy Adams, Brandon Shoupe, Ricky Herring and James Ivey. And Dothan could add a one cent sales tax which would put the sales tax at 11 cents on the dollar. To stop this, you must write in Chris Love in District 2 on November 3. If not, you will be paying more and more because of mismanagement by Chairman Brandon Shoupe, D2 Tracy Adams, D3 Ricky Herring and D4 James Ivey.

Brandon Shoupe is a politician. Which means, he can not and will not tell the truth, in my opinion. While James Ivey is returning, Ricky Herring is leaving, there will be a change in District 1. And the YES vote to Brandon Shoupe has to be stopped or you will be paying more.

I like Tracy Adams. But he is one of the votes that has placed Houston County in a THIRTEEN MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY FOUR, EIGHT HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR DOLLAR MESS. ( $ 13,474,834.00 ).

THANKFULLY, you the registered voters STOPPED Brandon Shoupe, Tracy Adams, Ricky Herring and James Ivey from taking over Southeast Health. What kind of mess would Houston County had been in?  Now is the time for the registered voters to take charge!
