DOTHAN: The clock is ticking for Wiregrass cat owners. The Wiregrass Spay Neuter Alliance’s $60 voucher sale, which covers spay or neuter surgery and a rabies vaccine, ends Thursday, October 15th.
And cats don’t wait. A female cat can go into heat and become pregnant as early as 4 months old. Pregnancy lasts only about two months, and she can have several litters in a single year, often four to six kittens at a time.
That’s why the sale matters well beyond the family pet.
Many have outside cats and know the importance of controlling the cat population. It’s also good news for anyone who recently brought home a kitten. Those new owners will need this surgery sooner than they think, and buying a voucher now locks in the sale price.

Stop by the alliance’s clinic at 570 S. Foster St. in Dothan from 8 a.m. to noon.

Call 334-671-8111 and leave a voicemail asking for a voucher. Staff will call back to collect payment and can email a copy. Leave just one message, as the alliance asks callers not to phone repeatedly.
Buy now, schedule later
Vouchers must be purchased by Thursday, but they’re valid for one year from the purchase date, so surgery can be scheduled whenever it works for you and your cat.
