HOUSTON COUNTY: This afternoon about 5:00 PM Incumbent D-4 Houston County Commissioner James Ivey made his announcement for re-election on Facebook.
The post reads:
Time is a gift that keeps on giving, and as I reflect on the incredible journey of the last three years, I am filled with gratitude and awe. As I sit here, I am reminded of the power of faith, family, and community that has brought me to this moment. Back in 2021, my wife and I had inspiring conversations about my potential run for Commissioner of Houston County’s District 4. I also sought guidance through prayer during that time, and with a heart full of hope, I made the decision to run. I qualified in January 2022, and thanks to your trust and support, I was elected as Commissioner. The Houston County Commission has worked tirelessly to uplift the lives of all citizens, and we will continue to strive for excellence. As I prepare to qualify in January 2026 and run for reelection on May 19, 2026, I humbly ask for your continued support and vote. Together, let us keep shining a light of hope and progress for our beloved community.
Vote and reelect James Ivey
Houston County Commissioner District 4
Ivey will be a Republican candidate for Re-election and will appear on the ballot in the Republican Primary on May 19, 2026.
