Authorities used a cadaver dog Wednesday morning as the search continues for missing toddler Genesis Reid.
Cadaver dogs are trained to locate human remains, signaling investigators’ concern for the child’s safety, though officials say they are still hoping for a better outcome.
The dog searched areas around the apartment complex where Genesis lived with her mother, as well as nearby wooded areas.
The investigation remains ongoing.
