DOTHAN: Tonight the Home Owner’s Association Board of Director’s for Hidden Lakes Subdivision and residents met. The home owner’s association has 540 houses.
The Board of Director’s for the Hidden Lakes Subdivison consists of three people, one of which is a candidate for D3 Dothan Commission. His name is David Haight.
This three member board TOLD the home owners in an email and tonight’s meeting the home owners dues were increasing from $ 225.00 to $ 300.00.
What was interesting in the meeting the three member board told the residents this was a done deal and there was no discussion allowed.
Mr. Bobby Hinson read the agenda and talked with David Haight who told me ( Hinson ) the dues topic was final and there would be no votes or discussions.. Bobby Hinson stated that D3 Dothan Commissioner Candidate /Hidden Lake Board Member told him ” prior to the meeting and there is no discussing them or debating them and you aren’t allowed to make any motions during the meeting”. Mr. Hinson stated ”
Mr. Scott Eckles stated ” but shouldn’t those decisions on spending be discussed with the homeowners. This board is basically a dictatorship making the decisions with other people’s money”.
David Haight is a 75 year old man who moved to Dothan from Florida. Haight states that he is an experienced city planner, transportation planner, and urban designer with 30 years’ experience working for AtkinsRealis an international engineering and design firm headquartered in Montreal, Canada and Tampa, Florida.
But from the residents of Hidden Lakes Subdivision, it appears that David Haight is a dictator who came to Dothan from Florida who does not believe the citizens need a voice. What he and his fellow two board members say is the gospel and you are commanded to not speak, just SHUT UP AND DO AS HE SAY’S.
Haight and his fellow two board members did not even provide a financial statement. And past Hidden Lake Board Members have stole the money.
Haight slogan for D3 Dothan Commission is ” New Leadership for Dothan”. According to the homeowner’s of Hidden Lakes it should be ” New Dictatorship for Dothan “. I see tax increases coming with no transparency and explanation because if David Haight say’s it then it will be done.
