OZARK – DALE COUNTY:    10:54 AM    Ozark Police Department Officers went to make a traffic stop. And a law enforcement pursuit took place.

The chase began on Martin/Newton Avenue in Ozark.

The chase moved to 2617 North Union Avenue at Roy Parker at speeds of 107 miles per hour. The vehicle being chased was a silver Ford Fiesta. Officers had deployed the spike strips. Passed Jerningan at speeds of 95 miles per hour.

The suspect vehicle wecked on Jernigan and North Union Street. The suspect, described as black male, bailed on foot.

The pursuing officer lost visual because the officer got injured. Reports are the officer possible has a broken nose and lost a tooth.

Dale County Sheriff/Dothan Police air unit is going air borne.

Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies have K-9 and SRT rolling to assist because of injured officer.

Subject was located at 230 Jernigan Road. Was taken into custody at Taser Gunpoint.
