ENTERPRISE: The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) Southeast Region will host two public meetings next week to share information and gather public input on a proposed project to improve State Route 167 (SR-167) between the cities of Enterprise and Troy.

The project focuses on improving hurricane evacuation operations along SR-167, from Salem Road in Enterprise to Spradley Drive in Troy. The proposed improvements would increase roadway capacity through the addition of lanes.

Both meetings will follow a come-and-go format, allowing attendees to review project maps, learn more about the proposed improvements and speak directly with ALDOT representatives. The same information will be presented at both meetings, so attendees only need to attend one.

Monday, Nov. 9, 5-7 p.m. at the Enterprise Civic Center, 2401 Neil Metcalf Road, Enterprise, AL

Tuesday, Nov. 10, 5-7 p.m. at God’s Way Baptist Church, 1100 Elba Highway, Troy, AL

Those unable to attend an in-person meeting can access project information and materials online at https://aecomvr.com/al-167improvements/.

Public comments on the proposed project must be submitted no later than Friday, Nov. 20, 2026.

Community members are encouraged to review the proposed improvements and provide feedback as part of the public involvement process.
