A Stephen Craig Miller Sr. has been ruled mentally competent to stand trial in connection with the death of his wife, according to court records.
Miller Sr. is charged with murder in the death of Gloria Miller, who was reported missing in February 2025. Records show Miller Sr. underwent a court-ordered mental evaluation and was found competent following an assessment by a state psychologist.
A trial date has not yet been scheduled.
According to Dothan Police Department, investigators allege Miller Sr. strangled his wife and later dumped her body in a dry creek bed beneath a bridge just over the Geneva County line. Authorities say Miller Sr. then reported her missing.
