DOTHAN: 09:57 AM Dothan Airport Police notified Dothan 911 of a death on the grounds of Dothan Airport. There was a self inflicted gunshot death.
NO ONE had made it through security checkpoint, unauthorized, with a weapon. NO ONE was in danger.
Dothan Police Patrol, Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division, Dothan Police Major Will Glover, Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum and Dale County Coroner John Cawley along with Dothan Airport Police are on the scene.
The scene is not in the path of aircraft taking off or landing. Unknown how this affects with the FAA and the government shut down.
