HENRY COUNTY: Press Release-Operation Predator’s Nightmare
As Halloween approaches, children across Henry County are preparing to dress up, hit the streets, and enjoy a night of fun and excitement. But while our children are getting ready for costumes and candy, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office has been working to make sure the real monsters aren’t lurking among us.
This week, we joined forces with Covenant Rescue Group to launch “Operation Predator’s Nightmare,” a proactive enforcement operation aimed at identifying, locating, and arresting individuals who seek to prey upon and exploit innocent children. Our mission was simple: Make our streets safer, protect our children, and put those who seek to harm them exactly where they belong — BEHIND BARS! We wanted to make sure that when Halloween arrives, it’s the children wearing the masks and the predators wearing handcuffs. In Henry County, we don’t wait for predators to find their next victim. We go looking for them.
During Operation Predator’s Nightmare the following arrests have been made:
Sean Richard Cockrell, 57, of Panama City, Florida was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking First Degree, Electronic Solicitation of a Minor, and Traveling to Meet Minor for an Unlawful Sex Act. He is being held in the Henry County Jail on No Bond.
Derek Dewayne Kidd Moten Jr, 37, of Ozark, Alabama was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking First Degree, Electronic Solicitation of a Minor, and Traveling to Meet Minor for an Unlawful Sex Act. He is being held in the Henry County Jail on No Bond.
Khadevious D. Johnson, 29, of Headland, Alabama was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking First Degree, Electronic Solicitation of a Minor, and Traveling to Meet Minor for an Unlawful Sex Act. He is being held in the Henry County Jail on No Bond.
Nickalous Yemond McCoy, 21, of Eufaula, Alabama was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking First Degree, Electronic Solicitation of a Minor, Traveling to Meet Minor for an Unlawful Sex Act, and Possession of Marijuana II. He is being held in the Henry County Jail on No Bond.
Tashun O’Hara, 19, of Cuthbert, Georgia was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking First Degree, Electronic Solicitation of a Minor, Traveling to Meet Minor for an Unlawful Sex Act, and Attempting to Elude. He is being held in the Henry County Jail on No Bond.
Jaquavious Marez Bouier, 24, of Eufaula, Alabama was arrested and charged with Human Trafficking First Degree, Electronic Solicitation of a Minor, Traveling to Meet Minor for an Unlawful Sex Act, Possession of Marijuana II, and Felony Attempting to Elude. He is being held in the Henry County Jail on No Bond.
This operation is still on going and we will update further arrests as they are made.
To the parents in Henry County: We are doing our part to keep predators off our streets, but protecting our children takes all of us working together. Stay alert, stay involved, and never hesitate to report suspicious activity.
This Halloween, the only thing our children should have to fear is running out of candy — not becoming the victim of a predator.
Our children deserve to feel safe. Our parents deserve peace of mind. And those who seek to harm our children deserve to be held accountable.
