BAY COUNTY FL: While watching a ” youth ” softball tournament of Geneva County children, April Wilks, age 46, wife of Incumbent Geneva County Commissioner was involved in an incident where she was later arrested.
April Wilks, wife of Incumbent Geneva County Commissioner Bart Wilks were attending the games in Panama City at the Frank Brown Park. During some type of disagreement, which led to the parking lot, it is alleged that April Wilks pulled a weapon at the female victim of the arguement and her children.
Wilks was arrested and booked into the Bay County Jail. The criminal charges are aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill and improper exhibition of a firearm or dangerous weapon. One charge is a felony and one is a misdemeanor.
Wilks has been released on bond.
