ENTERPRISE: The City of Enterprise, Ala. invites the public to celebrate the grand opening of the new playground at Johnny Henderson Family Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the park, located at 1901 Neil Metcalf Road.
The new playground replaces the park’s aging equipment with an expanded, approximately 9,520-square-foot play area featuring modern equipment, inclusive play opportunities, and amenities designed to encourage children of different ages and abilities to play, explore, and interact.
The playground features separate play areas for younger and older children, slides, climbing structures, swings, tunnels, musical play elements, shade structures, and durable turf surfacing. Accessibility was a key focus throughout the design, with features intended to make the playground more welcoming and accessible for children with a range of abilities.
The project was funded through the City of Enterprise’s Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Improvement Program as part of the City’s continued investment in parks, recreation, and community amenities.
Community members are encouraged to join the City on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 4 p.m. to celebrate the completion of this exciting improvement and welcome families back to enjoy the new playground.
