DOTHAN: 11:26 PM. Dothan 911 dispatched to 1462 East Burdeshaw Street. At the time of dispatch reports to Dothan 911 smoke visible in kitchen, no flames visible. At time of dispatch Dothan 911 informed responding units that one person had burns.
On arrival of the first Dothan Fire Engine they reported nothing visible and all incoming units go to level 1 staging. Level 1 staging means for incoming engines to stand by on arrival at fire hydrants and ready to deploy for an aggressive offensive attach while the primary engine investigates.
Shortly after arrival the primary engine reported medical treatment to a patient that had burns on both arms. The burns were from a grease fire. Dothan Fire Engine 1 and Pilcher Ambulance transported one patient, trauma alert, to Southeast Health in Dothan.
A fire prevention officer was notified of the injuries.
Dothan Fire, Dothan Police and Pilcher Ambulance responded.
