HOUSTON COUNTY: 11:54 AM Houston COunty 911 dispatched Bay Springs Volunteer Fire to 894 North Brannon Stand Road to a dumpster Fire. At the time of dispatch it was reported to 911 the dumpster was near the building which was the Dollar General.
While responding Houston County 911 upgraded the call to a structure fire. There was heavy smoke inside the store from the dumpster fire. That increased response to Wicksburg Volunteer Fire – EMS and Rehobeth Fire – EMS. And a mutual aid to Dothan Fire.
The first fire engine on the scene reported just the dumpster which they quickly extinguished. All other responding fire engine companies were cancelled.
