HOUSTON-HENRY-GENEVA-DALE COUNTIES — Two Wiregrass candidates have secured endorsements from the Alabama REALTORS® Political Action Committee (ARPAC) ahead of Alabama’s upcoming primary elections on May 19.

On April 28, the ARPAC announced it is backing Donnie Chesteen in the race for Alabama Senate District 29 and Rick Rehm for Alabama House District 85, both representing parts of the Wiregrass.

According to a release from ARPAC, candidates earn endorsements based on their supports for protecting property rights, small businesses and advancing policies that strengthen Alabama’s real estate market.

“The endorsed candidates are deeply connected to their districts and understand how decisions made in the Legislature impact Alabama property owners, families, and communities,” said ARPAC Board of Trustees Chair Sherri McCollum.

These endorsements come as voters prepare to head to the polls for primary elections, where party nominees for state legislative seats will be decided.

“We are confident these candidates will provide the leadership needed to keep Alabama’s communities growing and our economy moving forward,” Alabama REALTORS® CEO Jeremy Walker said.
