DOTHAN: 11:55 AM Dothan 911 dispatched a two, possible three vehicle accident on South Oates Street and West Selma Street.
Dothan Fire Engine Company 1 ( Central ), Dothan Fire Ladder Truck 1 ( Central ), two Pilcher Ambulances, Dothan Fire Battalion Chief, and Dothan Police responded.
On arrival the emergency units reported two vehicles, one overturned. Dothan Police reported two persons entrapped due to electronics. There was not three vehicles involved.
Dothan Fire began extrication on a Ford Maverick truck that was overturned on the driver side. Two females were trapped inside the vehicle. Dothan Fire quickly installed braces to secure the vehicle while fireman removed the windshield to remove the patients. One was walking around with minor injuries and an older female had more significant injuries.
Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance transported two patients, one trauma alert and one non trauma alert to a Dothan hospital. A second Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Fire transported the thrid patient, which was from the other vehicle, non emergency to a Dothan hospital.
