DOTHAN: As the Wings of Wonder butterfly house prepares to close for the season, the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens invites the community to a special end-of-season butterfly release. Visitors can watch the native butterflies in the garden’s care take their final flight of the year as they are set free in the garden.
The once-a-year event will be held Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, from 2 to 2:30 p.m. There is no extra charge for the release itself. Garden admission is $5 for non-members and free for garden members.
Whether the butterflies are flying or not, organizers say it is sure to be a memorable afternoon. Bring the children on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, 2-2:30 p.m. at the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens, 5130 Headland Ave., Dothan.
