DOTHAN: 1:05 PM Dothan 911 dispatched a firearm assault, 2060 Hodgesville Road. Reports are a male patient with a gunshot wound to the right leg below the knee. At the time of the 911 call it was an uncontrolled bleed.
At the time of the 911 call reports were the suspect came from the woods and ran back to the woods. Reports were possibly a homeless person.
Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies are searching the area for a suspect.
The patient was transported by Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance, trauma alert, to Southeast Health.
