DOTHAN: 2:23 PM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire, Dothan Police and Pilcher Ambulance to a critical motor vehicle accident on Hwy. 52 East, just west of Huskey Road intersection.
At the time of dispatch Dothan 911 had reports of entrapment, vehicle on fire, occupied. While responding Dothan Fire Battalion Chief reported smoke in the sky from that direction.
On arrival emergency responders tackled the vehicle on fire immediately. One patient was extricated and transported by Pilcher Ambulance, trauma alert to Southeast Health.
Dothan Police CRASH Team, as specialized traffic investigation team, has been dispatched to conduct the investigation. Dothan Police Traffic Division Commander Lt. Jason Adkins is on the scene.

This accident is a traffic fatality. The death was on the scene. RSN leaves as critical injuries until we find out the families have been notified.
The subject was pronounced dead on the scene by Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd.
After impact the vehicle burst into flames. Dothan Fire Department, while responding to the accident, could see the smoke in the sky.
Dothan Fireman walked the sides of the road and in the weeds making sure that no one was thrown from the wreckage. The driver of the white truck is reported to have complained of only leg pains.
Dothan Fire Engine 1 ( Central ) and Dothan Fire Engine 4 ( Southside ), Battalion Chief, and Deputy Fire Chief David Hasty were some on the scene.
Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd released
James Albert Greenwood age 65 from Ludowici Georgia was the victim who died in the vehicle crash earlier this afternoon on the Columbia Highway
