Thomas Carrell Teeple, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 15, 2025, in Eufaula, Alabama. Born on June 26, 1938, in Burbank, California, Thomas lived a vibrant life filled with love, dedication, and joy.
Thomas’s early years in Burbank set the stage for a lifelong career in the entertainment industry, where he worked diligently for the movie studios in cast and crew transportation for 50 years. His work ethic and personable nature made him a well-respected figure on set, and his contributions to the industry were celebrated by many who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
In 1979, Thomas married the love of his life, Jeannette, on his birthday, June 26, in a union that would flourish over the next 45 years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and the joy of raising a family. Thomas was a loving man and a true family man, always happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Thomas’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jeannette Teeple; his sons, John Teeple and his wife Maureen, and Anthony Holladay; his daughters, Suzanne Jacolby, Jeanine Lerma, and Felissa Schneider; as well as nine grandchildren who will carry on his legacy of kindness and compassion. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Carrell Teeple and Suzanne Louault Teeple, and his sister, Jeri Courtney.
Thomas passions included fishing, tending to his garden, and hosting lively barbecues for friends and family. Thomas found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as swimming in the family pool and engaging in yard work. Weekends were a special time when he loved having his grown children come over, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Thomas’s presence was a source of stability and love. Known for being a loving and family-oriented man, he was the heart of every gathering, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Funeral services to honor the life of Thomas Carrell Teeple will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel. A burial with Military Honors will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery, where Thomas will be laid to rest with the respect and gratitude befitting a life so well-lived.
