Mrs. Sharon Helms Shiver, of Slocomb, passed away on June 6, 2025 at Hartford Healthcare. She was 77.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church Cemetery, in Blue Springs, Alabama, with Rev. Daniel Rieben officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
Mrs. Shiver was born on March 18, 1948 to the late John W. and Eileen Turner Helms. She enjoyed tending to her garden and spending time with her family. Sharon would enjoy coloring in her free time and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents; her husband, Franklin Shiver; son, Brian Shiver; brothers: John W. Helms, Bill Helms and James Helms, all preceded her in death.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Michele A. Shiver; daughter-in-law, Melena Shiver; sisters-in-law: Alicia Shiver, Gloria Helms, Janice Helms, and Debbie Helms; grandchildren: Erin Shiver and Jacob Shiver (Alex); great-grandson, Jayce Shiver; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
