Neva Hollis Alley, age 96, entered into the gates of Heaven on Monday, September 15, 2025.

Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, September 19, 2025 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Chaplain Kevin Kelly officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

She was raised in the Jellico Community on County Rd. 9 and graduated from Wicksburg High School in 1946. After graduating High School, she married the love of her life, Leon Alley and they were married until his death.

She worked many years as a lunchroom manager at Southside Elementary School. She and her husband bought City Bait and Tackle and worked together to help build the business. She was a devoted Christian and attended Cloverdale Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and raised her children.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and the children were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Haley A. and Annie Belle Hollis, brother, Charles Evans Hollis, sisters, Jean Hollis Buettner, Frances Hollis Purvis, Carolyn Maureen Hollis, her precious son, Lamar Alley and her special nieces, Joyce Hollis McNeal, Jeri Hawkins, Linda Woodruff, and her nephew, David Hawkins.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Diane Alley Powell, grandsons, Scott Jensen (Sonia), Jeffrey Jensen (Brandy), Keith Jensen, all of Dothan, granddaughters, Emily Alley Carey (Jeff), Leah Alley Valentine (Jeff), of Ft. Walton Beach, FL., great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Jensen Snellgrove (Trevor), of Dothan, Shelby Jensen of Dothan, Megan Jensen of Boise, Idaho, Mason Baker of Dothan, Grant Baker of Tuscaloosa, Alec Davis of Big Bear, CA., Parker Valentine, Ian and Kayla Carey of Fr. Walton Beach, FL.,  and one great-great-grandchild, Valerie Hollis Snellgrove.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
