Kenneth Neil Mims, passed away peacefully at his residence on September 23, 2025, with his family by his side. Born on December 12, 1960, in Dothan, Alabama, Kenneth’s journey was one of unwavering commitment to his family.
Kenneth is predeceased by his parents; Bert and Betty Sikes Mims, a son; Anthony Mims and grandchildren; Alayna and Aliya Adams. He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Betty Sue Mims; his daughters; Kesha Mims (Corey) and Patty Baxley; sister; Amy Littlefield, nephews; Jamie and Jeremy Littlefield, grandchildren; Isiah Adams (Malika), Krystien Pelk Mims, Jordan and Melissa Baxley. Great-grandchildren; Ava and Mia Adams.
Having proudly spent 28 rewarding years in service to the City of Dothan, Kenneth retired to spend more time immersed in the hobbies he so deeply loved. The joy of music flowed through him as he played his guitar, a pastime matched only by his love for the serenity of fishing and the excitement of the hunt. With his unmistakable talent for grilling, Kenneth brought family and friends together around the table, creating an atmosphere of warmth and laughter that will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure to partake.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date
