WEBB – HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County 911 dispatched Ashford Rescue, Columbia Rescue, Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Kinsey Police Department to an edged weapon assault at 10472 East Highway 52 on Saturday.

This is a group home but not a Spectracare Group Home.
Initial reports are a resident has cut the throat of another resident. Once Deputies were on the scene the injury was changed from moderate injuries to serious/critical injury. Responding EMS requested assistance of Dothan Fire which has also responded to the scene.
Houston County Patrol Deputies have requested Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigators to respond. Patrol Deputies have a suspect detained at this time ( 3:17 PM ).
Survival Flight was requested but later cancelled because flight time was 28 minutes.
3:17 PM Houston County Sheriff Lt. Anthony Hatcher, Commander of Criminal Investigations, has arrived on the scene.
3:21 PM Dothan Fire is on the scene and on board with Columbia Rescue. They are leaving the scene at this time, emergency transport to Southeast Health. Three Houston County Sheriff Deputies are escorting the ambulance and requested Dothan Police to catch intersections of Highway 52 East and Ross Clark Circle, East Main and Ross Clark Circle.
