
Carolyn Watson, age 81 passed away on January 24, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by faith, service, and deep love for those around her.
Carolyn graduated from Houston County High School in 1962 and later began a long and fulfilling career with Radiology Associates of Dothan, where she worked for 37 years.
She was married to her beloved husband, Don. Her greatest joy was their four children, Donna, Carol, Kim, and Kris, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Carolyn was a devoted member of Denton Road United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
Carolyn will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie O’Neal and Bertha Mae Pitts. She is survived by her husband, Don; her children Kim Watterson (Robb) and Kris Boone (John); her step-daughters Donna Boyette (Steve) and Carol Scofield (Royce); her grandchildren Justin, Anna, Matt, Cade, Jordan, Jensen, and Jessie; her 13 great grandchildren; and her nephew, Michael Cobb.
A celebration of life will be held at 2PM Friday, January 30, 2026 at Ward-Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Newton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM in the chapel.
