DOTHAN: AMP Media, LLC, Amy Pollard has made a decision to purchase WOOF Radio, AM and FM stations.
For the past 25 years Amy Pollard has been an on air talent in the wiregrass. The area audience has woken up to Amy Pollard on the air. Pollard is currently with Kensington Digital Media in Dothan. She serves as host on 105.3 WECB and program director.
The Dowling/Simpson family sold WOOF Radio about 5 years ago to Michael Holderfield. The torch is now being passed to Amy Pollard with AMP Media, LLC. Pollard wants to keep the tradition of Agnes Dowling Simpson and Leigh Simpson who operated owned and WOOF Radio for decades.
In purchasing WOOF, contracts are pending approval of the FCC.
