DOTHAN: 08:52 AM. Dothan 911 received a call of a person down in the 300 block of Mauldin Drive. Calls of person down are when people are reported on the ground. The initial reports to Dothan 911 a black male found on the ground, unknown if breathing.
Dothan Police, Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
After arrival emergency units determined the person was deceased. It was quickly determined this is a murder case. The person is reported to be shot.
Dothan Police Crime Scene Unit, Dothan Police Criminal Investigators and Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd were dispatched to the scene.
Details are not released at this time. The investigation is underway.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd has identified the deceased as Rickie Temmis, age 27.
Dothan Police found several shell casings near the body. Dothan Police Criminal Investigators are working multiple leads in identifying the suspect.
