The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has launched an additional investigation into an ongoing child exploitation case in Aliceville involving a local police officer and school employee.
According to ALEA, the agency’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force became involved after multiple school employees were arrested by Aliceville Police.
As a result of the investigation, 24-year-old Caminion Gary — identified as an Aliceville Police Department officer and an assistant basketball coach at a Pickens County school — was arrested by ALEA agents.
Gary is charged with:

Electronic solicitation of a child

Sexual abuse, first degree

Possession of child sexual abuse material

Transmitting obscene material
-
School employee having sexual contact with a student

Enticing a child to enter a vehicle
Gary was booked into the Pickens County Jail with no bond.

Once complete, the case will be turned over to the Pickens County District Attorney’s Office
