DOTHAN:     This morning Incumbent Dothan Mayor Mark Saliba announced  his bid for a third term as Mayor of the City of Dothan.

Rev. Robert Jones opened with prayer followed by introduction of Mayor Mark Saliba by his wife, Angie Saliba.

Mark Saliba described that his family has spent a lifetime pouring foundations, standing boards for new houses, laying bricks in constructing homes for people in the wiregrass. Constructing homes where children take their fist steps, where families gather around the dining table where dreams are made.

A city, like in any home, needs a solid foundation. One where there is trust, transparency, and shared values. It needs thoughtful planning and not quick fixes.

A city needs leadership that is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get dust on their boots and do the hard work. Working to build a brighter future with a strategic plan to upgrade infrastructure. To work to build a community where people are proud to live, work, and raise their family.

Today is about what is ahead. About the journey together with great schools, imnproved quality of life. Where every resident has a fair shot at success.

Dothan has many projects on going that have been planned and some plans executed under the leadership of Mayor Mark Saliba, But Saliba is quick to say “team” when talking about the projects. And “team” is commissioners, department heads, City of Dothan staff, and the citizen’s of Dothan.

Election day for the City of Dothan Mayor, Associate Commissioners, Dothan School Board Chairman and Dothan School Board members is August 5, 2025.

While the Office of Mayor pays a salary of only $ 42,000.00 a year, Mark Saliba works full time as Mayor and in the Mayor’s Office at the Roy Driggers Municipal Building. He is open to the public, accessible and around Dothan, involved.

Mark Saliba ask you for your vote in the upcoming election as Mayor of the City of Dothan.
