HOUSTON COUNTY:     05:38 AM   Houston County 911 dispatched Cottonwood Rescue to 7292 South County Road 81 to a medical emergency. Cottonwood Rescue was on a call and passed the call to Ashford Rescue to handle. The reports to Houston County 911 that blood was all over the passenger seat of the truck and a female was in the yard with blood on her.

Multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies responded and Ashford Rescue responded. The call was a load and go, emergency transport to Southeast Health. Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigators were dispatched to the scene.

On arrival of EMS and Sheriff Deputies at Southeast Health, and clinical observation, it was determined the female had a firearm assault to the head. The female was conscious and breathing and went to surgery shortly after arrival at Southeast Health. Following surgery the firearm assault victimw as placed in Intensive Care.

UNCONFIRMED information a vehicle connected to the female was found at Brunson’s Store. Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigators, Lt. Anthony Hatcher and Sgt. Brandon Barnes and other Investigators have spend their Sunday processing the scene and questioning people.

At this time this is all of the information known to RSN and the investigation continues.

The online booking system of Houston County Jail, under the command of Houston County Sheriff in and through Sheriff Captain David Asbill, they state as soon as an inmate enters the county jail their name is entered into the online computer data base. As of 9:32 PM CST there is no one listed online for assault or attempted murder. So RSN must assume there have been no arrests made.
