Brantley is age 14 and attends Cottonwood High School and Tate is age 3 and attends daycare in Malvern.
Brantley underwent three surgeries in 2025 on his neck. He has a shunt because his spinal fluid does not exit the brain. It required him to be flown by Survival Flight, Mark Reynolds, to Children’s Hospital, after Dr. Fred Pich diagnosed Brantley and saved his life.
It required three surgeries on his neck in 2025 adjusting his shunt. Now the doctors state that Brantley must have a spinal infusion, a 10 hour surgery. That will probably be in December.
TATE FAILS
The doctor for Brantley has been monitoring Brantley’s little brother, Tate. On Monday, after a visit to Children’s Hospital for MRI’s, the doctor’s have made the decision that Tate is going to require surgery. Not to the extent of a shunt, but going into the top of his head and opening up some drainage clogs.
That surgery is schedued for Friday at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
We would like to ask you to keep Tate, Emily, Josh, and the doctor’s in prayer this week. And to keep Brantley, Emily, Josh and Mike in your prayers for December.
MOTEL ROOMS
I went to reserve rooms in Birmingham. Tate has to be at Children’s at 5:30 AM on Friday. Where we normally stay, Home2Home Suites at Children’s is sold out and most are sold out. Rooms are going for $ 396.00 a night, $ 401.00 a night, which are near the hospital and the one we always stay at is sold out. Alabama verses Georgia game this weekend.
So we are making reservations. Sorry Alabama – Georgia fans, but hopefully the weather will cancel the game and free up roooms at Children’s. Know that is selfish, but…
