BIRMINGHAM: Emily and Josh Fails, and myself ( Rickey Stokes ) are in Birmingham. Tate, age 3, had to be at Children’s Hospital at 5:30 AM this morning for Tate to have surgery.
On Monday, Emily, Brantley and Tate went to Children’s Hospital for a scheduled MRI on Tate. The doctor instructed them to be back for surgery at 5;30 AM on Friday. Tate has the same issue that Brantley has, not as severe, as his spinal fluid not draining from his brain.
The doctors went in the top of his head and opened up the plumbing drains ( easiest I know how to explain ). The doctor said the surgery went fine, however there was more fluid then he expected.
Tate was not a happy camper when they took him from his parents. He was kicking and screaming. He is calm now that back in the room. Does not like IV and was watching cartoons in the picture. They have now given him night – night meds and he is out.
RYAN TAYLOR – had a chance to visit with Tim Taylor, his wife and son at Children’s Hospital. They are from Dothan – Ashford. Ryan has been fighting cancer. Things are going well, please keep the Taylor’s and doctors in your prayers.
