DALE COUNTY: Unlike Houston County, Dale County operates only on property Tax and SSUT Tax. All of the sales tax, 100% of the sales tax in Dale County goes to the school system.
In Houston County, they operate on sales tax, SSUT tax, and property tax. It does not take anyone very smart to know the property tax in Houston County is greater than the property taxes in Dale County.
