DOTHAN:      The Troy murder suspect has been identified as 20 year old Korion Michael Salter of Dothan. Salter is the one shot at the mall after alledgely threatening a man in the barbershop that he was going to kill him when he walked out. Salter is under heavy law enforcement guard in a local hospital. He was alert and conscious at the scene and during transport to the hospital by Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance. Reports Salter coded after being in the hospital and went to surgery. Salter is listed in critical condition.

Pike County Sheriff Department has arrest warrants for Murder on Salter. Dothan Police will probably charge with Shooting Into An Occupied Dwelling also.

Case still under investigation.

UPDATED @ 7:44 PM – 3:54 PM Time dispatched – From what RSN understands at this time; a male subject was getting his haircut in Wiregrass Commons Mall, just outside Dillard’s. Two or three male subjects came into the mall with a bag. One of the subjects is alleged to have told the person getting a hair cut they were going to kill him when he left the barbershop, and they walked back into the middle of the mall. They are alleged to have pulled a weapon ( the two or three in the middle of the mall ), at which time the one getting his haircuit pulled a weapon. Unknown which shot first, but the one or one’s in the middle of the mall pulled a pistol/rifle. The one getting a haircut shot the ones in the middle of the mall who said they were going to kill him, striking one on the head. The others fled. The one getting a haircut unloaded ( by shooting ) his weapon and fled to the bathroom. Houston County Sheriff Lt. Bobby Hopkins was working off duty in Dillards, heard the gunfire and ran TOWARDS the gunfire finding the one in the middle of the mall. As other officers arrived they found the person who was getting his haircut hiding in the bathroom. The only person shot was transported to the hospital. was conscious when left but coded later and went to surgery. Sources within Dothan Police and Pike County Sheriff Department have confirmed the person shot ( one shot in the middle of the mall ) is the suspect that Pike County Sheriff Department has been looking for as the suspect in the murder recently in Pike County of a Dothan man. Dothan Police is investigating and been in contact with Pike County Sheriff Department. Multiple agencies assisted Dothan Police, such as Houston County Sheriff Department, ALEA Troopers, Kinsey Police Department, and Ashford Police Department in shutting down the entrances/exits while the mall was searched for people hiding and/or suspects.

6:00 PM Dothan Police investigated an edged weapon assault in the 500 block of North Oates. The edged weapon assault took place at another location. Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division is conducting an investigation.

4:55 PM Dothan 911 dispatched a motorcycle verses utility pole at North College and East Newton Street. The person was transported as trauma alert and reported to be in critical condition. Dothan Police CRASH Team is investigating.

St. Andrews which turned out to be an outdoor fire; 67:26 PM Medical Alarm; 7:27 PM Medical Call; 7:56 PM Medical Call. This does not account for all law enforcement calls.
