DALE COUNTY: 4:24 PM Dale County Sheriff Department and I think Pinckard Police have just been in a vehicle puruit of a Equinox which was traveling north in the south bound lanes of traffic on Highway 231.
The chase started near Highway 231 and Dale County 18. Passed the Welcome Center and then County Road 30. The units reported that traffic was heavy.
A Dale County Sheriff Deputy took the suspect vehicle head on with her patrol vehicle to stop the chase before some innocent people were seriously injured or killed.
Highway 231, southbound, is closed at this time and suspect is in custody. While there are no reported injuries Ozark EMS is responding to check everyone out. Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum is on the scene.
HATS OFF to the Dale County Sheriff Deputy for her heroic actions to save lives.
