SLOCOMB: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Slocomb City Councilman Tony Davis.
Having served the City of Slocomb since 2016, Mr. Davis became sick several weeks ago. He has fought the battle for several weeks and lost that battle.
The family has announced visitation on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Countyline Missionary Baptis Church. Times are 5PM to 7 PM. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 , 11:00 AM at Countyline Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Tony Davis, a councilman serving Slocomb since 2016, was in his second term as a devoted member of the Slocomb City Council—a friend and colleague to all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.
Mr. Tony was a great man who served on several boards within the city, including the Water and Sewer Board, Senior Citizens Committee, the Slocomb Library Board, Recreation Department, and in support of our EMS and Fire Departments. He was always working to protect and promote Slocomb’s growth and prosperity.
