HOUSTON COUNTY: 5:48 PM. Houston County Sheriff’s Office Deputy responded to a suspicious person call on Highway 84 East at or near McDaniel Road.
The Deputy approached the subject and at some point the Deputy made the decision to make an arrest. The subject was not going for that and resisted. The Deputy called for assistance, emergency.
Houston County Sheriff 911 went on emergency radio traffic and rolled multiple Deputies and Ashford Police to assist the Deputy in combat with suspect. Multiple law enforcement units rolled to the scene. The subject was able to be taken into custody.
Ashford Rescue was called to the scene. The subject refused treatment, unknown if Deputy required treatment. The subject was transported to Houston County Jail.
