HOUSTON COUNTY – DOTHAN: 6:29 PM. ALEA – Trooper announced in pursuit of a vehicle that was traveling west on Highway 84 East of Dothan.
6:30. PM. Chase at estimated speeds of 100 miles an hour passing Beverly Road, still west bound on Highway 84 East.
6:32 PM. Passing East Main and Ross Clark Circle, has green light and traveling west on Main Street inside Ross Clark Circle.
6:31 PM Passing his future home, 901 East Main Street, Houston County Jail. They are keeping the light on for him to return !!!
6:31 PM Coming over the bridge on six lane of East Main. At some point suspect suspect crossed over and was traveling west in the east bound lane of traffic.
6:32 PM Subject was approaching Main at Ussery approaching Main and Museum.
6:32 PM Subject went through traffic lights at S. Saint Andrew’s Street, running traffic light.
6:32 PM Subject went through traffic lights at Foster Street, lost a tire and struck a vehicle at Main and Oates Street. Suspect bailed from his wrecked vehicle on foot.
Combined law enforcement of ALEA – Trooper, Houston County Sheriff Department and Dothan Police bailed on foot, chased suspect down and took into custody. The on call Alabama Department of Human Resources was called.
Officers still at Main and Oates investigating suspect and why he ran, but suspect in custody and will be traveling to 901 East Main Street, Houston County Jail on several felonies.
