KINSEY: 6:24 PM Houston County 911 dispatched Kinsey Volunteer Fire Department, Headland Fire – Rescue, Kinsey Police Department, and Houston County Sheriff Deputies to a motor vehicle accident.
The loaction was Highway 431 at Bethel Road. The accident is in the southbound lanes of traffic.
The accident involves a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. There are critical injuries.

This was a fatality on the scene. The deceased was riding a bicycle and was struck by a pickup truck. The truck did not stop. Someone got the tag number and the vehicle was located in Henry County.
RSN has received text messages asking if someone was struck on a bicycle. The person on TEXT RICKEY 334-790-1729 said it was difficult to see. UNCONFIRMED, but souces say the person who was driving the truck knew that struck something but did not know it was a person or vehicle. Thought something on edge of road. It was dark when the accident happened.
Dothan Police CRASH TEAM assisted Kinsey Police in the investigation along with Columbia Police and Webb Police as did Houston County Sheriff Department.
Houston County Deputy Coroner Tony Diaz, who also works for Blue Skies Transport, answered the Coroner call for Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd. Diaz is also on contract for transporting the bodies.
Kinsey Police continues the investigation.
