HARTFORD: 3:52 PM. Geneva County 911 dispatched a structure fire at Bottoms Funeral Home in Hartford.
Fire and EMS crews from Hartford, Slocomb, Bellwood and Black responded along with Hartford Police.
At time of dispatch smoke and flames were reported and was a working fire on arrival of emergency units.
Staff of Bottoms Funeral Home were on hand when fire started. They removed a body and hearses. Sorrells Funeral Home responded to assist and transported the body to Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.
The fireman made an aggressive attack and the fire was brought under control.
Rehobeth Fire – Rescue dispatched an extra fire unit to Slocomb prepared for the 911 call that had not happened yet.
