DOTHAN: 7:49 PM. Last evening Dothan Police was dispatched to Johnson Homes to a complaint. Once Dothan Police arrived at the call, which was a male with a gun, the suspects fled.
As Dothan Police gave foot chase of the suspect(s) one of the suspect(s) turned toward the police officer and fired shots. By the grace of GOD the Dothan Police Officer was not struck. And the suspect was not struck.

Dothan Police immediately began an investigation. Today the Dothan Police Department took a juvenile in custody.
UPDATE: In a release, Dothan Police confirmed a juvenile was charged with firing a gun at a police officer.
Just before 11 p.m. on April 2, DPD responded to reports of a person with a firearm at North Range Street and Alabama Avenue.
On-scene units discovered a person matching descriptions, who ran away with two other people.
One of those people pointed a weapon at an officer and fired on shot. Fortunately, the officer was not struck and unharmed.
All three initially managed to get away.
