ECHO, Ala.: A 79-year-old Dale County woman died Wednesday morning after she was struck by a vehicle on a rural road in the Echo community.
Dale County Coroner John Cawley identified the victim as Doris Densel.
Authorities said Densel was walking along County Road 83 at about 4 a.m. when an oncoming car hit her. Emergency crews transported her to a Dothan hospital, where she died of her injuries.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s state troopers are investigating the crash. Cawley thanked the agencies that responded to the scene.
