HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County crews will start collecting debris along road rights of way today, Monday, Oct. 26, according to a county announcement.
Houston County Road & Bridge is asking sanitation customers to place trees and limbs along the right of way for pickup. Residents should keep trees and limbs separate from structural debris. Household items will not be collected, so they should not be placed with the debris.
County sanitation crews will not pick up trees or debris left along the right of way by contractors. Contractors are responsible for hauling away anything they cut up.
Drivers are urged to use caution and watch for workers in the road while collection is underway.
